The Agueda I. Johnston Middle School English as a Second Language program will be hosting the 6th Annual Youth and Parent Symposium later this month.
The symposium provides an opportunity for parents to take part in a meaningful and empowering dialogue focused on how to better support Guam’s migrant population. The discussion between school and community stakeholders aims to support and ease the transition faced my many individuals in Guam’s migrant community so that they are better prepared to become responsible and successful leaders in our society.
The parent symposium will feature refreshments, performances, as well as prizes. Parents and community stakeholders are encouraged to show their support by participating in this annual event.
The Youth and Parent Symposium takes place at the Agueda I. Johnston Middle School dining hall from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019.
School stakeholders are asked to confirm attendance by returning invitation letters sent home with students. For more information about this event, please contact Agueda I. Johnston Middle School directly.
