Hafa Adai Pirate Family,
Agueda I. Johnston Middle School hosted the Official Red Ribbon Proclamation and Signing Resolution Ceremony today, Thursday, October 1, in the Dining Hall from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m.
Acting Governor Joshua F. Tenorio and Speaker of the Legislature Frank F. Blas Jr., serving as acting lieutenant governor, both signed the proclamation while Governor Lourdes A. Leon Guerrero is off island.
Guests included Senator Chris Barnett, Guam Police Department Officer Paul Tapao, and members of the Guam National Guard. A National Guard service member was also recognized during the program.
Because seating is limited, elective classes attended as representatives of the school. The National Guard expected about 50 dignitaries, with parking in the Bus Depot area. Students and staff wore Pirate Spirit shirts or school colors.
Thank you to our elective classes for representing AIJMS, and to Acting Governor Tenorio, Speaker Blas, and our guests for being with us.
